Facilitative Leadership Working Group
Purpose: To extend the learning from Facilitative Mediation training to application of the tools into your daily life. This includes your family, your colleagues, and especially in the workplace as a leader and manager.
Format: Seven 90-minute monthly meetings
A cohort style, small group that meets once a month for seven months (Oct-May). Designed for both recent Essentials participants and alumni. We plan to keep the group small (max. 10) and to utilize real-life experiences, debriefs, etc. For example, session topics may include:
Setting goals inclusive to the diverse group
Team Development
Difficult Conversations one-on-one
Employee Development:
The Leader as Facilitator and Guide
The Supervisor/Employee Relationship
Accountability and Direct Communication
Time Management and Work-life Balance
Location: Will rotate based on participants’ locations
Schedule: One morning a month, usually the 3rd Thursday from 9:15am -10:45am. Final schedule to be determined based on availability of participants and instructors.
Prerequisite: Cohort members must have completed the Essentials of Facilitative Mediation training prior to participating in this working group. This training occurs each April and October. Register here.
Tuition: $799
Minimum number of registrants required for course to be offered. Discounts available for nonprofit and public sector. Must be requested prior to completing registration.
